Tad Stones once stated in an interview that Steelbeak was meant to be a James Bond parody. He's suave, handsome, and an excellent agent.

Biography

Very little is known about Steelbeak other than he is one of F.O.W.L's top agents and has gone beak-to-beak with Darkwing numerous times. Unlike most villains, Steelbeak holds no particular ill-will toward the flapping terror, he's just doing his job.

Steelbeak prides himself on being a F.O.W.L agent and takes his job seriously. He hates committing petty crimes such as robbing banks and considers it an insult and waste of his time. He prides himself on being a ladies man, and once used his suave charm to convince Ammonia Pine to do the dirty work for him during a particular heist. He is incredibly vain and in love with his own image.

His artificial beak allows him to bite through metal, rendering handcuffs and other restraints useless on him.
